Albert Finney, star of stage and screen and one of the great British actors of his generation, has died at the age of 82. RIP. https://www.apnews.com/d72299a7c1794831baed7ff55f092e5b
If you want to see how hot out of the gate he came into the world of movies, I highly recommend you check out Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960).
RIP, Celebrity Death
@derek And an iconic performance as a gang boss in Miller's Crossing (1990).
🎵 Oh, Danny Boy . . .
And then I'd say check out Under the Volcano cause it rules
and The Duelists
@LarryDavis The Duellists fucks hard, I agree
@derek Fantastic film. I went to university in Nottingham and read Alan Sillitoe when I was there (they were at that time turning the old Raleigh factory where he had worked into a management department). Saw the film at the Broadway cinema. He came across as a rare gent. His Britain is now gone, as is Sillitoe’s.
