omg this is so cool, a dinosaur found almost perfectly preserved.

"The creature’s skin, armor, and even some of its guts were intact – something they’d never seen before. ... the preservation was so good that researchers were able to tell the dinosaur’s skin color by using mass spectrometry techniques to detect the actual pigments"

Whatever you do, do not scroll down the page and read the comments. I did. 😢🤦‍♂️

One word: creationists...

@normandc @MmeLibertine @Ethancdavenport I wasn’t even aware there were comments and now you have me curious :P

@MmeLibertine cool :) but isn't that discovery from a couple of years ago?

@varve probably! but I learned about it today and thought it was neat

@MmeLibertine the article had no dates, which is annoying. How recently is the "recently" they're talking about? Makes it easier for people who missed it the first time around to think it's new and awesome, when in fact it's just super awesome. :)

Awesome. Just wait until they get the C14 results back and find out it's only 30 years old...

@MmeLibertine Oh man, I got to see that when I went to the Royal Tyrell with my ex in Calgary. It was such an amazing sight

@elfi oh gosh, I can't imagine how cool this must be in person. what a sight!!

@MmeLibertine Yup we're going to see more artifacts like this as the polar ice caps thaw.
